One day there was a little moose, and do you know what his name was? His name was Chotchie.
And do you know what he was doing? He was visiting his Auntie Maianne and Fluppy (the Polary Bear) – who lived in Chicago, with his friends Maple CowPie (whom everyone called Cowie Wowie), and Lazonia (the parrot.)
They were sitting at the window, watching tree branches blowing back and forth while rain splattered the window pane.
“What should we do?” asked Maple CowPie.
“I want to go to the dog park,” said Lazonia, “and watch the big doggies.”
“It’s too rainy,” said Chotchie.
Fluppy nodded his head and frowned.
“Let’s ask your Auntie,” said Maple CowPie. They jumped down and went to the kitchen.
Auntie Maianne was humming a little tune. She had a big bowl, 2 cups of luke warm water, a package of active dry yeast, a teaspoon of salt, a little bit of honey for taste, a glug of cooking oil (about 3 tablespoons) and a big bag of flour (about 4-5 cups.)
“You ask her,” said Lazonia.
“No, you ask,” said Maple CowPie.
They decided Fluppy would ask. They helped him scoot around the corner.
“Well, hi Fluppy,” said Aunti Maianne. “What’s doing?”
