The Tale of a Lion is a fictional coming of age story set in a reborn society right here in our modern world.  This re-organized society has sought to harmonize its workforce with the talents and abilities of its members through the widespread acknowledgement of "gifts".   A person in this society comes to adulthood by receiving his or her gift through a process called "the trials".  The Tale of a Lion focuses on the life of one member of this society, a youth by the name of Uno.  Uno lives in a modern "village" with other members of the Lion Tribe.  He lives at home with his Mom and Dad and enjoys time with friends in his peer group; but his trials are fast approaching and there is no way to be certain whether he has what it takes to pass them.  The pressure is on, because Uno happens to be the son of the village Witchdoctor, hoping to follow in his father's footsteps in the attainment of his gift.

Part-adventure and part-romance readers take a journey with Uno through his society and beyond, meeting storytellers, monsters, beauties, and sages.  It is a fast-paced, novella-length, modern fable for young adults and all fans of the genre.
