The Soda Pop Partners

The adventure opens on a stretch of the highway that links the eastern states to the west coast in the era following the end of World War II. A fellow operates a soda pop stand for the highway travelers. Nearby, along this roadway are several neighbors who long for relief from their difficult lives. A young hitch hiker on his way to California, near starvation, joins with the soda pop vendor to help sell the soda pop. As other neighbors, including women and children, cross paths with the soda pop vendors, they at first engage in activities mischievous, and rowdy, but their lack of emotional control results in damage their lives. Recognizing that the only way to solve their dilemma is to combine their resources, they form
a “ one of a kind “ highway business .
