Seven years ago, Orden Snowfire led a rebellion against the nation of Verdana when they attempted to conquer the northern land of Aushara. But he was betrayed, his rebellion was defeated, he was executed, and his daughter Sasha was sent to prison. But now, after a daring escape, Sasha Snowfire is free once more. However, seven long years have passed since her father's death, and she wants nothing more than to return to her homeland and slip into obscurity. Her homeland of Aushara is now fully under the control of Verdana, and Sasha doesn't think she has the courage to fight anymore. But rebellion is still stirring within Aushara, and Sasha finds herself brought right back into the fight for freedom that she thought she could avoid. Along the way, she will be tested to the very limits of her endurance, she will discover a magical truth about her homeland, and in the end she must search her heart for the strength to face her fears and take up the sword once more.
