The Route.......an unforgotten tale of love

Kaya Chauhan finds herself insanely attracted towards Vivaan Rahar, the charming, flirtatious, co-passenger she travelled with, a couple of months ago. Ever since she met him, all she longs for is to succumb to her strong sexual desires for him, only she cannot give him what he wants from her in return..........
Like all the other trips she made so far, Kaya Chauhan, the young, vivacious and the maverick, female protagonist of my story ‘THE ROUTE’, did not expect this one to be any different.
During a chance encounter with the handsome, crisp, dynamic, co-passenger, Vivaan Rahar, the male protagonist of my story, Kaya finds herself insanely attracted towards Vivaan’s irresistible charisma and his smoldering appearance.
Noting their attraction for each other, they both carry their chance encounter forward and develop it into a fun, casual courtship.
Kaya, who, on one hand, seeks escape and comfort into a dark, viscous world of self infliction, a world where she has found a profound, even pleasurable and a very dependable relationship with her paper cutter, a secret, she keeps well hidden underneath the layers of her infectious laughter and a notorious sense of humor, sees Vivaan as nothing but the perfect outlet, a gorgeous distraction, from her busy, stressful life.
Betrayed in love before, she believes that she is never going to fall for anyone again.
And therefore, assumes that by indulging in a causal sprint with a philanderer like Vivaan, she is going to risk nothing.
Vivaan, on the other, finds himself for the very first time ardently pulled towards Kaya, her well-guarded intensity and her dark rebellious side.
What could have been the perfect setup for his philandering urges without inviting any kind of serious trouble, he is not able to prevent himself but demand more from her.
When he discovers Kaya’s intentions for their on-going spur, he is hurt.
But he is unwilling to step down until he wins the love of his life.
When Kaya finally discloses her secret to Vivaan, she is sure that the sick confessions of her insanity would be more than enough to drive him away.
But the uncalled for happens when Vivaan, against his common instincts, finds himself even more powerfully drawn towards her.
With Vivaan’s help, Kaya gradually develops something that helps her deal with her inner demons.
She prepares to be vulnerable one more time, and finally let’s herself go.
From here, they both kindle a very beautiful and fervent romance; a love affair that strongly entails, until Vivaan comes in contact with ‘Sanvi Das’, his ravishing colleague.
And so, begin the troubles and the pain that Kaya tried so hard not to ever have to encounter in her life.
She is dropped into a pit once again and eventually confronts him. Vivaan accepts his infidelity and apologizes for committing it.
Broken and stabbed, Kaya brandishes herself when she meets a life-threatening accident after she picks the last fight with him.
As she manages to crawl out of the death’s door, she decides to move on.
She is almost ready to bury it all back in to the ground. But she finds out that she was not the only one with a secret.
Vivaan has a secret too.
As told to Kaya, Vivaan is an orphan who lost his entire family in a road accident years ago.
The truth unravels when Vivaan’s brother, Pranav traces Vivaan’s whereabouts and charges him with the guilt of deserting their family in the most tumultuous time.
Kaya finds out about the tortured past of Vivaan; his mother’s suicide and his father’s betrayal followed by his repentance and ultimately his death, while waiting for one last glance of forgiveness from each of his sons.
Shocked and uncertain, Kaya once again stands on the cross roads; whether should she just run away from it all and move on? Or should she face everything and seek Vivaan?
She soon realizes that there is a lot more to life than her own pain.
She knows that she has nowhere to move onto, when all the routes only lead to Vivaan.
