The Return of the Boomerang

Following her mother's death, the beautiful young heiress of the rich philanthropist Samuel Rogers grows up haughty, capricious and selfish. Recklessly, Annabel squanders away a good part of her father’s wealth and comes dangerously close to wrecking her life with drugs. Her childhood best friend Jacqueline attempts to reason with her, convinced that deep down Annabel is a wonderful person of a kind and compassionate heart. After she loses a million dollars in a Las Vegas casino, Mr. Rogers sends Annabelle on a one-year training at one of his hotels in Italy – her mother’s birthplace.
At this unexpected turning of tables in her life, faced with her father’s bankruptcy and away from her home in America, Annabel proves that after all, the blood of the Rogers family runs through her veins. Forced to bear her cross of poverty, she finally acts with great will, resilience and vision. As she fights for her own bread she meets the love of her life in the face of her humble bodyguard Michael. While attending the spiritual school of the respected tutor and friend of her father’s Dr. Lee, Annabel also makes some real friends in Italy. She remembers how her father who used to support financially the establishment of spiritual institutions in Italy and America always said that sons and daughters of rich parents received equally warm welcome there. Many of the affluent realize that if their children do not undergo a sentient spiritual path when young they could easily grow up to fall victims of the merciless whims of prosperity just as Annabel did. Poor children are also sometimes sustained by wealthy individuals to receive this type of spiritual schooling, and Annabel finds out that Michael was one of Dr. Lee’s disciples. She slowly realizes the truth about her own life – she sees the emptiness of her existence up until now as well as the power of the Universal law which directs human evolution. She suffers first-hand the heavy blow of life's boomerang but she grasps its moral: you only reap what you sow.
Accompanied by her loyal assistant Susan, Annabel returns to America and rushes to see her ailing father whom she wants to cheer up with the news that with the help of Michael, Mrs. Bellucci, Dr. Lee and other friends she managed to overcome life's hardships and free herself from the poverty’s grip. She wants to inspire her father to have faith in life after his heavy financial loss. And then Annabel finds out the truth about her training and about her great love Michael…
