There are three sources of intelligent power at operation in the universe, these have the ability to plan and execute plans, to exercise ruling dominion and authority. Understanding the role of these three powers is important; it will help you see how crucial your part is in Gods master plan.
We are endowed with personality, mind/intellect, conscience, individuality, emotion and intuition- just to name a few traits. These qualities set us apart from creation and make us the pinnacle of created things. We also received a mandate from the mouth of God to rule and subdue the earth [Gen1: 28]… God created the universe by work and he intends for us to be co-workers in maintaining what he has created, the word subdue implies to overcome and to bring under control… clearly man is meant to labor, we are given God authority to achieve our God given tasks [Gen 2:15]. When God passed this mandate on to mankind both the woman and man had been created, thus both received it [Gen 1:27-28]- so here we see that the man and woman became co-equal and co-workers.
Human beings are the neutral power, having the choice either to do evil or to do good [Deut30: 15]. God will never control our freewill, it would be against his holy character and neither will he let Satan do so, it is by our own will that we reject Satan or reject God [Luke22: 31] [Job1: 12]. We are created thus we are limited to space, time and matter.
We are the only obstacles that have the power to hinder Gods kingdom on earth, “woe to those who plan iniquity, to those who plot evil on their beds! At mornings light they carry it out because it is in their power to do.” [Micah 2:1]. The kingdom of darkness can only be established on earth if man allows it, and takes part in it. If you reject Gods will for your life, by default you are excepting Satan’s lordship for your life. If we could truly apprehend just how much God has trusted us with, and understood the magnitude of the purpose God has for us, I believe we would be a true generation of power.
