He didn’t care to whom it belonged, or why it might be there, just that it meant food for him and his people.
Sly Fox was the Indian that caught Harris in the act of stealing. This was the seed Sly Fox had set aside for the Spring planting. He was amazed at the audacity of the young man trying to steal his corn, but because he was fascinated with his soft white skin and dark green eyes, he presented a fair trade. In payment for his debt, the pilgrim could share his body or something equally as interesting.
