The Most Powerful Prayer: Prayers for Spiritual Growth, Peace and Happiness. Read on your PC, Mac, smart phone, tablet.

This book contains proven steps and strategies on how to pray using the world’s most popular and beloved prayers from different religious traditions. Many prayer samples are provided, as well as affirmations, positive self-talk and other techniques to help you live peacefully and happily and achieve spiritual advancement.

Prayer is many things to different people. For the religious, it is an essential part of daily life. It is an obligatory act of piety, but much more than that, it is a direct, personal link to God or to the divine Being revered as most high and most holy. As such, prayer brings comfort, peace, strength and hope. When one is able to connect through prayer to the infinite Source of abundance and goodness, the worries and stress of mundane living melt away. Through prayer, one finds peace and solace.

That is true even for people who don’t really consider themselves to be religious. Some people may not pray in the traditional way (that is, by reciting prescribed prayers or performing the standard postures or movements), but they are able to commune with a higher spiritual power in silent prayer. The process brings succor and strength in the same way that prayer helps the devout. As such, prayer is beneficial for everyone, regardless of religious affiliation.

What is prayer?

Different religions are one in the belief that prayer is a means to make the Divine a constant part of our daily lives. Devout Christians believe that they should pray to serve and obey God, to hear His counsel and know His will, and to derive guidance for daily undertakings. To pray is to be reminded at all times of how God wants us to conduct ourselves and our lives. It is a reminder to be compassionate, forgiving, helpful to our fellowmen, and virtuous.

That is similar to how pious Muslims and Jews regard prayer. In particular, Muslims pray the traditional five daily prayers in praise and remembrance of God and His infinite goodness. At the end of each prayer, they wish salaam or peace towards their fellowmen, thus prayer also serves to reinforce the unity and brotherhood of Muslims all over the world.

For Buddhists and other followers of Eastern religions, meditation is prayer.
