A city in Eastern Washington is bombed to control the spread of a deadly disease. Years later, two men buy a storage unit that contains a strange chemical and boxes filled with gold Kruggerands. To keep the gold a secret, they dump the chemical into the sewer system inadvertently mutating a common virus. Three people contract the virus and each demonstrate amazing memory retention and increased intelligence. Neurologists examine the three people at a regional center and are astounded at their increased cognition, particularly an elderly man who is showing signs of recovery from Alzheimer’s. The patients are referred to Johns Hopkins University (JHU) for research.

A team is formed to analyze the patients and eventually discover the mutated virus. The project director pushes for approval to test for a cure for Alzheimer’s. The team eventually develops a cure and begins clinical testing.

Thus starts a wild ride of cover-ups, suspense, greed and murder as the team pushes to develop a worldwide vaccine to stop the spread of Alzheimer's. The story takes you to the far reaches of Europe and India, to the inner chambers of Congress, and to the very depths of our faith. A myriad of twists and turns will take you on an emotional roller coaster, with an ending that you won't soon forget.
