Joy is having a terrible day, carrying her very sick brother Lance in her arms, when she first meets Noah. She is desperate to see her brother well again and has been told that Noah will be able to help her. Desperate, not knowing what else to do, she puts her trust into the mystery stranger’s hands.
To her relief, it seems her faith was not misguided, as Lance is healed by Noah in the most extraordinary way!
Furthermore, she finds Noah to be a kind and patient man, as he offers her and her brother food and shelter, to the relief of Joy who has been on the road travelling from village to village for a good length of time.
But it is only when a dramatic event occurs that Noah’s true identity and abilities are made clear. Joy then comes to understand the troubled and mysterious man much better, and more importantly, she comes to see that they are not so different, a thought that only serves to intensify the feelings that she has for Noah!
