Is specialization really the key to success?

In his first book, The Jack of Too Many, V.M. Cruz explores the origin and character traits of the jack-of-all-trades. Through this animated and witty examination of the Jack, we are guided through an introspective look at our strengths and weaknesses and challenged to find what others need to find in us. With personal anecdotes and a little bit of confetti along the way, Cruz shows us how the Jack can survive and flourish in a competitive, multidimensional society. You will discover:

The Jack Limbo

Capital Id

Binary Crossover

Yourself

Reading has never been my pastime. On the contrary, the only time I have picked up a book was throughout short road trips, family vacations, or during airport standbys to distract me from paying $100 in airfare but outrageous $200 luggage fees. The most valuable pieces of information came to me in the most unexpected times, and I simply wanted to continue to pay it forward—not as an author but simply as a walker of life who happened to exist coincidentally at the same time you did. We are all analysts and recorders of life, but it is in how we illustrate and interpret such registries that we bring to life our own unique experiences. Today, I am a proud middle school teacher and college professor at a nearby community college with aspirations of becoming an educational administrator. My hobbies include ensuring that my puppy has grade A dog food while I consume excessive amounts of protein shakes and porridge (like, a lot more than Oliver Twist could handle), and arguing with football fans that the Cowboys are the best team to ever exist and that Indiana Jones is the true story behind how Jerry Jones was able to purchase the team. I do not enjoy long walks on the beach because I was stung by a jellyfish as a kid, but if I am ever on the shore, it is because I am a proud New Jerseyan who witnessed Snooki at her prime.
