Phillip Smith works for the British government in West Berlin during the cold war in the early 1970’s. He doesn’t have what anyone would call a normal job. His day job is to locate East Germans who may be able to help the effort to defeat communism in exchange for their liberty in the West.
He is challenged to do the right thing for others, to help save a nation from a communist dictatorship. He finds himself caught in the middle of a complex political landscape on the wrong side of a wall that was built to divide a nation. Unable to trust anyone, unable to find his way out, unable to do what he sacrificed himself to do.
In a city of ten thousand spies, Phillip is forced to hide among the people he swore to save as he tries to change the course of modern political history.
