The Incredible Martin O’Shea is the story of a first-grader with an great imagination. He imagines himself saving the day in all kinds of outstanding roles – a doctor, a firefighter, a detective, a NASA engineer, a deep-sea explorer… He finds his daydreams so much more interesting than the real world that he doesn’t pay attention in school. His grades begin to fall, and his parents are not happy about it. Then a visitor to his class says something that changes his life. Martin learns that education can help him make his dreams reality, and he learns to want to pay attention in class. The lesson in this book shows how imagination plus learning can lead to real life adventures and encourages kids to pay attention in school.
