This is a great collection of sketches from some of the earliest American Methodists. In all, there are 326 sketches in this book, covering the lives of 23 "Heroes of Methodism."

It's a great collection for a further study of those with whom you are familiar, but would also serve well for a primer for someone who is not acquainted at all with the American roots of the Methodist church and holiness movement.
