Time is running out for a man running away. Divorced, desperate and carrying more baggage than can fit into his new Camaro, he leaves his family and ex-wife for Los Angeles and the dream of being a musician. Without plan, he detours to San Diego to visit his father, who, due to a lifetime of lies and substance abuse, wants no part of him. A successful trip playing on the Promenade in Santa Monica lifts his spirits, and he takes seeing the Green Flash over the ocean as a sign.
