Marie-Catherine d'Aulnoy (1650-1705) was a French writer, and she was considered the one who developed the genre of a classical French fairy-tale. She was brought up in a noble family but had to get married to a man who was 30 years older than she. Moreover, he was an alcohol-abuser. Her mother and she tried to get rid her husband by accusing him of treason against the crown. But in the end he was proven innocent and Marie-Catherine had to flee to England. When she returned home she established a literary salon and began to publish fairy-tale collection books. Her most popular fairy-tales were: 'The Story Of Pretty Goldilocks', 'The Blue Bird' and 'The Imp Prince'. Once upon a time there lived a king and his queen who loved each other dearly and shared the light of their love with their whole kingdom. They cared about people and the kingdom prospered. But one day a war broke out and their land was attacked by a blood-thirsty ruler of the neighboring country. Our good king was killed and the queen was captured. What will happen to her?
