In 1940s London, World War Two rages across the continent, affecting everyone who lives in the capital. Laura McDermott lives alone, her thoughts often turning to how she can rise above the general population and help the war effort. Secret Agent Sebastian Henley-Smith watches for secret codes embedded in the national press with the help of new computing technology, under the watchful eye of his colleague, Rabelle. But is Rabelle really who he says he is? When Laura sees something she shouldn't in central London, the pieces of the puzzle start to come together, but not before we hear of assassinations, secret missions and a darker side to what it really means to serve the country and win the war...
