The Encounter

“It’s at the bottom of you. It can’t be achieved... little by little, it steals the air.” Ana Luiza is losing her breath: the end of a great love (again), a distant father, a shallow mother, a complex friendship and “people who always go away.” With her rock songs, her books and her cigarettes, Ana Luiza is seeing her life fall apart. “Love is a wound,” she expresses. But the “girl with the distant gaze” has an unexpected encounter with someone apparently very different from her: Rafa, the “big eyes” that see everything... However, lost in her own world and having surrendered to alcohol and drugs, Ana Luiza wants to run away from everything — especially from the dreaded love that hurts her so much.

How can you find or rediscover your own destiny? How far can love go, how long can it wait? What’s beyond the rock ballads and the romantic poems? Can love save someone from their own darkness?

Sometimes you need to lose almost everything to find yourself again... and finally be able to love.
