The Collapse

“Hi, welcome to Fry’s! My name is Dan, how may I help you?” These were the two phrases I used almost every day when I worked in a Las Vegas Fry's Electronics as a computer tech before the collapse. It wasn’t a very exciting job but at least it paid the bills using skills I possessed. I don’t say those two phrases and I don’t pay bills anymore. Now I collect e-waste such as broken cell phones or tablets, damaged laptops, old desktop computers, calculators and other assorted broken electronics. I then trade that e-waste for food, water and supplies when I'm not able to scavenge them on my own. It sounds like a lonely existence and it is but this is how I learned to survive after the collapse.
