The Border Between Magic and Maybe

My mother and father were murdered by thieves. they stole my father's prize horses and I vowed to find them and bring them home. I also vowed to bring the killers to justice. in a land newly settled by the people from the Oldlands across the Great Sea, we Newlanders struggled to create a new world and a living. What I didn't know was that the vicious creatures that had owned this land before were just like us or that we had pushed them back over the Border that divided our land from theirs, the Border that divided their realm of Magic from ours of lies, murder and deceit. I met one of them, a girl, a hunter who was searching for something on our side and she was nothing like the demons that the Rangers said they were. in fact, she saved my life from perishing in the first blizzard of the season.
