In diesem E-Book stellt das Kommunikationsdesignbüro Moniteurs das Leitsystem-Projekt, das für den Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg entwickelt wurde, vor. Die vier Kapitel erläutern, wie das Leitsystem die bauliche Identität des Flughafens prägt: "Identity" befasst sich mit der Architektur, der Farbwelt, der Entwicklung der Schrift und der Piktogramme; "Function" erläutert, wie die Typografie eingesetzt wird, welche Beschriftungsarten und -grössen es gibt, wie die Orientierung am Flughafen für Besucher funktioniert. Das Kapitel "Developement" zeigt, wie die Schilder und Beschriftungen auf ihre Lesbarkeit, z.B. anhand von Test-Stelen, geprüft und angefertigt wurden. "Beyond the Terminal" verdeutlicht, dass das Leitsystem nicht nur die Terminals selbst betrifft, sondern auch weitere Gebäude, Gebäudeteile und Aussengelände, die Zu- und Autobahnabfahrten, aber auch die Verlinkung zum Internet und Informationsmonitore. Ausserdem wird kurz auf die Kunst-am-Bau-Projekte eingegangen.
