Holly is the central character and is a free spirit who is fortunate to be able to enjoy life in privileged circles. She is an ex-competitive rower and in a failing marriage to someone she really doesn’t know.
A series of unexplained events that took place before and during the annual regatta, creates suspicion and bad feeling amongst the key families. But when a body is found in the river, the town is suddenly thrown into turmoil as the police gather closer links to Hollys and other families and discover so many hidden secrets.
