The Adopted Son

Two poor families, Tuvache and Vallin, live in harmony but miserably in two neighboring cottages. One day, Mr and Mrs d'Hubieres , who can not have children , want to adopt a fee , the youngest son of Tuvache Charlot. The mother violently refuses the inhuman proposition to him.

The couple then moved to the contract Vallin who accept the annuity offered by increasing the rate by early Hubieres . Suddenly, the two families no longer speak . The mother Tuvache denigrates its neighbors and itself as an exemplary mother , which brings Charlot, his son, to feel superior, because it was not sold . Twenty years later, Vallin son , now a young rich man reappeared .
