Terse Poems 2

Our past was full of smoky, grimy, sweaty industries that punched-out textiles, cars, ships, planes plus cannons and rifles which went into bloody wars. Today new machines make our important products, and we do the less strenuous parts. But, in days past, many of our relatives had shorter lives do to the hardships of developing industry and as many good years or more were lost to those efforts as were given in the battle fields of France, England, Asia, Russia, Belgium, Africa and the USA. But, our cultural resilience was strong, That plasticity was due to the foundations of our magnificent ancestors and their networks of cultures. We moderns can strive to honor those historic efforts and keep our cultures strong. The honest thoughts of the many, i.e. Andy Warhol, Rembrandt, Ford, Kennedy, Van Gogh, London, King, Tolstoy, and Jefferson...all wished to speak their minds in different ages and in different ways in favor of culture. They lifted our ideals and forged our world in smoke, fire, and kindness. Keeping all cultures alive will keep our traditions in place and guarantee our successes which in the future will perhaps combine with each other. The best forward snap-shot of this melting is in Los Angeles where Danes and Greeks have families together and Mexicans blend with all...and why not? Isn't it in our mutual interests? Of course it is, to build better lives and places in our complex world...yes, and in the meantime, you can read right here a little mind-rolling, terse-poetry that grapples with the various sides of different cultural heritages…quickly giving you the opportunity to think about a better tomorrow.
