Tardy the Tortoise is a series of three books, each book having two stories that tell how the tortoise relates with other animals. These stories describe the tortoise as wise, greedy and witty.
Book One: “Tardy the Wise Tortoise” shows Tardy dealing with animals bigger than him and also shows how he dealt with bullying.

Tardy found himself in between two of his friends who both wanted his support. Afraid of both and not wanting to offend one or the other he had to take a decision. In the second story, Tardy needed wisdom to deal with a bully.

Tardy the Tortoise series is not just a set of bedtime stories that will capture the young imagination like no other, but they broaden the knowledge of the children. The author included a page in each book, to encourage the children to learn new words, know their spellings and their meanings. Also a page included in each book, “Moral of the story,” is to encourage the children to think, summarize and deduce what the story is about.

Kids of all ages have responded with so much enthusiasm to the interesting stories and beautiful pictures, prompting the books to becoming instant family favorites! I know that my grandchildren and their friends find going to bed quite exciting as they are eager to hear the stories over and over again.

So get set for interesting reading as you will see excitement in your children’s faces as you tell them that it is time for bedtime story, and see why so many children and adults alike have fallen in love with these books!
