Resulting from wholly unexpectedly being incarcerated in foreign prisons for 5 months in 2009 for financial crimes he’d never committed, Chris Chesney wrote “A Consuming Rage”. Whilst this was cathartic in itself, it gave him a taste for writing, and he has followed up that first book with “Tales of Travelling and Working Abroad”, in which he details the many weird and wonderful events he experienced whilst working outside the UK, mostly for US banks or financial institutions. Whilst many of these events were harmless and simply reflected the alternative ways in which different cultures view the same subject, he also came across a number of instances where, especially with citizens from southern European counties, morality was a word that could be construed in any number of ways. And frequently was.
