 Deidra Banckes, a feisty, stubborn young woman, is no stranger to running away – she has fled from her mundane life in South Carolina’s countryside for the exciting, city life afforded her free spirit in Boston.  Now, she is on the run again; this time, she is desperately running from that ominous place known as physical abuse at the hand of one who pledged to love and protect her.  Just as she believes she is safely away from her abuser for a brief moment, fate is about to land more than a glancing blow by casting Deidra into the fight of her life, for she becomes a victim yet again - one stalked and assaulted by one of Boston’s most dangerous sexual predators, a corrupt police officer.
