Synchronous Society

In this age of both complete visibility and invisibility of friends, reality and information means that meaning itself becomes contingent. This leads to more radical judgmental attitudes as well as to a concept of self and society beyond our control. Society here is presented as aggregates of the personal experience of politics, economics, religion, science, art, law, health and media. They are translated into terms that make more sense in a world devoid of traditional sense. Underneath all of these rational domains, a being resides that has its emotions locked away until science offers another opportunity for safe expression. That function of science is to be taken over by the individual. How do we make this transition, and does it have side-effects? The abstraction of frames that guide our information intake, which this book offers, cnould open the reader's eyes to entirely different forms of communication, such as ESP, communication with deceased and extraterrestrials, and to synchronous life itself.
