Recent divorcee, Rosalind Jones left for Charlestown to lick her wounds after a humiliating betrayal by her near decade of marriage. With no job experience or prospects, she was in a total lost until her friend gave her the best idea ever to start a Knitting Club. Her friend, Gina was adamant that playing with yarn would never rope in available men but fate planned otherwise. With four dear ladies and a wacky best friend, Rose might finally get another chance at her happily ever after.

“Hey gran.” He was about to kiss her cheek when his face met a bag instead. That brought a smile to his face. “Nice to see you too, gran.”
“Put that in the back, dear.” Joy put on her seat belt.
Grabbing the bag, he was about to do as he was bid when a piece of paper fell on him, “What’s this? 34 27 38? Don’t tell me you’re looking at codes now.”
“Oh, don’t be amusing, that’s Rose’s measurements of course.”
He was mute for a second staring at the yellow post – it as if it was her body. Dear god.
“What is it Ricky?” Her grandmother arched a brow and analyzed his face.
“Gran, stop.” He sighed. “A grandmother does not look at her grandchild like that.” All lust aside, he put the note inside the bag. He was probably in for many cold showers.
“Well, I’m just happy to see you reacting as expected.” Joy gave him a slight pat on the shoulder.
“Gran….” Ricardo said warningly. “Don’t tell me you planned for me to see it?” A slight chill ran up his spine as he pulled back out onto the road. Rose’s car was not out on her driveway so she must be out. Who was she out with?
“Rose’s car is usually parked inside.”
“What?” Ricardo glanced at his grandmother who only grinned. “Gran I –”
“Ricardo Howards Monroe, I taught you better than to lie to your own grandmother.” Joy chastised another favourite teaching of hers.
“Gran.” He sighed in defeat. “Alright, alright, so I do have certain feelings for Rose. But we’re in a delicate situation here. I’m divorced and haven’t really dated anyone and –”
“She won’t be your rebound so you don’t need to be afraid, Ricky.” Joy interjected.
“What? Gran, I am not afraid.” He laughed, punctuating each word clearly.
“Ricardo Howards –”
“She’s just not my usual type.” Ricardo interrupted before his grandmother reprimands him again. Joy only used his full name when she was extremely happy or like this particular moment, extremely annoyed.
Joy scoffed. “You mean the leggy redhead thing?” He whipped his head and looked at her skeptically. “Oh Ricardo, those women have never been your type. They’re every man’s walking breathing lust from a fashion magazine. What you should have looked for is a porn magazine.”
This time, Ricardo did put his foot down on the break and gave both of them whiplash.
