Self expression has always been an important part of my existence. Early in life, I discovered the beauty of words and the ability to manipulate them to express whatever was crawling inside of me.
And sometimes, there was no manipulation. Sometimes it was just a steady stream of feeling that begged for liberation. Poetry was simply a cathartic tool I used for release and healing.
This chapter focuses on some of the issues we tend to encounter in our lives: growing up, making mistakes, learning, loss, self-discovery, and more. I'm sharing because I've found that listening to other people's experiences can often create empathy and give our own experiences some reference.
So, we all have stories to share. We create them every day throughout the journey of life. These are just a few of mine.
