Still Barking…
And the Dog Barks on Some More…
There’s change across America, it’s rife, and no-one’s ready for it; not the old people, or the young, not even those people who saw it coming. No, not even they; not even Eric. Even with mucho time to prepare, with his home finally the way he wants it, some almost stability to his health, and with Freud barking joyfully in the pool ~ the hurricane of life’s “change” blowing by affects everyone; often for worse, although sometimes, for better.
Yes.
Sometimes for “better”.
But there’s no-one safe from the way life changes on you; the things that come and go.
For Eric, and for America, it’s a moment of truths, not “truths” anyone wants to hear, but that doesn’t matter, the “truth” is TRUTH! And whatever’s going down, out in the world, or in Eric’s day-to-day, health-wise, house-wise, sorta-kinda-partner Lynn-wise, friend-wise, other-wise, the truth will out eventually; bringing change with it.
And once the Hurricane has passed, is there gonna be anything left of the old to recognize, any glimmer of how it used to be? When you’re so busy with life's little things, so “busy” moving onwards, what do you leave behind?
Even fairytales, and especially 21st century Adult ones ~ “forever young” ~ don’t last forever, or no?
And the dog’s "Still Barking..."
