Reviews:

"Dear Jess! By occasion I came to read some of your writings, which came to me as a fresh and original way of thinking/approach. . .The reason of my writings to you is [that] many years ago, I received a Word of the Lord in my mind, which is remarkably accurate with your vision of books."
-- E-mail from a male reader/customer (2011)

"Based on the three books I've read, I can say that you're a brilliant writer. They are not shallow reads. Your books do not only entertain but they also make you reflect on what is really important in one's life."
-- E-mail from a female reader, 2011 (The Philippines)

"Great characters and a fascinating look at today's culture."
-- Kipp Poe | Review on "The Intern" (YA Sins07, Lust)

Excerpt:

The conversation between the Mikos wasn't even particularly tense. The air between them was just characterized by an overbearing sense of frostiness--like things had completely chilled between them. Never mind their sex life which was pretty much non-existent within their marriage. They hardly even treated each other as friends.

"I've invested too much in our marriage and our family to have it fall apart," Lewis said. His tone said he was done talking for the time being, which essentially meant that the conversation was over.

Now that the Mikos were both retiring, it was time for Satyana to fill in their shoes and fulfil all their expectations as they basked in their golden years. She was going to get a world-class university education and be married at age twenty-five to thirty and have grandkids by thirty-five, no later. The Mikos discouraged their daughter to get married before the age of twenty-five. They wanted her to focus on her education first.

"Where's Satyana?" Lewis stood up at the table, adjusting his tie. "Aren't we supposed to go any time now?"

"She's upstairs," said Karen, setting her hair in place. "I'll get her. You can go start the car. You could do with the walk."
