One night, Julian and Tate meet in a motel room. Under the neon moon, they realize that they come from the same world. Both drifters. Both working-class men who America forgot. Both unable to be themselves in the small towns they call home. But somewhere in this motel room, the two find the beginnings of a love that will change their lives forever. At the end of their long weekend together, the two decide to go their separate ways. But quickly, they realize that their lives back home are not worth returning to. They reunite and decide that it's time get their revenge. They knock down a factory, a shoe store, and a bank, all in a matter of days. Their mission: take back what's been stolen from them. Make the 1% pay for all the times Tate and Julian were left out in the cold. But this devil-may-care attitude soon turns ugly as Tate and Julian lose their way. Their mission goes off-track, things get out of hand, and everything they once fought for begins to crumble beneath their feet. Ultimately, they figure out another way to fight back, another way to get revenge. For too long, they have been pushed to the side, made to change, made to slink into the shadows. But those days are gone now. With a tank full of gas and some crazy dreams, Tate and Julian decide to take revenge on the politicians, corporations, and religious zealots who have long tried to ruin their community. All this leads to a conclusion that will put not just their lives at risk, but the lives of millions.
