Solari

Evie Campbell is a fifteen-year-old girl terrorised by her mother's abusive husband who she has fearfully named ‘The Thing'. She finds no respite out of home either, as the neighbourhood bullies are determined to make her life hell. After another brutal beating unconscious Evie is catapulted into another world, the fantastical land of Solari.
Here she comes face to face with the noble inhabitants the Samonites, and their friends the Dinglehoppers. Although this beautiful place seems friendly and loving, the Samonite Kingdom is under threat from the Luciens; the fearsome birdmen lead by the vicious Lord Lucar, who is consumed with thoughts of vengeance. Lucar has employed the flesh-eating Alcanata Tribe to bring down his enemy King Saul.
In this coming-of-age tale Evie must face her fears as she travels between the two worlds and undertakes a quest that will decide the fate of the Samonite Kingdom.
