Sites of Love: Short Stories II

These short stories are a collected in a second book and tell of those places that have become outstanding and memorable sites of love. Often the happenings experienced relate as a metaphor of more serious happenings with the person or place as the focal point. Often happenings run parallel to the one personally experienced that seems to be irresolvable. ‘Botticelli’s’ is more than a restaurant or just another eating place. It has ambiente, colour, an uplifting spirit for the senses, a special place to recharge one’s batteries. ‘My Favourite Journey’ deals with an exciting exploration of a superbly located village with features that are as exotic as their women. ‘Sites of Love’ explores one man’s dilemma of stealthy love and their outcome. ‘The Black Dog’ tells the happenings around a hurt Labrador seeking refuge in midst of a lively art workshop in the heart of a gallery life in Athens. ‘The Pen’ is the struggle of a budding writer, who is supported by his Muse, presenting him with a special writing pen, which he has trouble of keeping, shaken by the illness that his Muse has to struggle with. “The Red Packet’ is something sinister and dangerous looking hanging on the entrance gate of a property. It is mistaken for a bomb, but then as the secret behind it comes to light, only good may come from its use of custom. ‘The Trinity Children’ highlight the sensual experience of three children, who escape the pressures of a funeral of their friend in midst of a summer heat wave to cool down in a nearby stream thereby sensing great danger in midst of a paradisiacal setting.
