This is a Christmas Short Story for teens. Emily Morgan ran her families' Holiday Shop to help her mother. Her father was retired military and had come home with PTSD. However, Emily loved running the shop. It got her in the Christmas mood, and she knew her customers' names and habits. She also had a crush on Noah Ingram who worked for her family every holiday he was home from college. Noah was studying to be a doctor. The problem was Noah was interested in Emily's older sister, Cassie.
Cassie tended to indulge in wild college parties though and since her friend Mel was having a Christmas party, she wanted to go. Emily tried to persuade her not to go, but Cassie insisted all the college kids would be there. When she didn't come home Noah and Emily went after her. And they just got her out of there before the police came to shut them down. However, she left her purse and phone. Noah and Emily took Cassie home.
Emily's only ambition was to run the store for her family, and while Cassie and Noah were getting a first rate education, Emily felt her life passing her by. Would anyone recognize her hard work? Would Noah figure out how she felt about him?
