Did your last vacation harass you more than it relaxed you? Did you find yourself vowing not to go anywhere ever again? Were some family members disgruntled at how "..it just wasn't fair or fun..."? Did you often find your temper rising at inanimate things like the car, the accommodation or at missing out on tickets to a popular show? Did you run out of money, or miss your flight or maybe your clothing was too thin for the low temperatures? How many times did you or someone else say "If only we had…."

Here's the book that will save your next travel experience. 'Shiro's Guide to Planning Stress-Free Family Travel' will teach you how to plan successful family travel. It will show you how to decide on your packing, your activities, your accommodation, and many more. 'Shiro's Guide to Planning Stress-Free Family Travel' has drawn from our family's struggles, and frustrations, and our eventual maturity through our journeys.

As a family, we love traveling. We may not particularly love the packing and unpacking, but we love getting the chance to visit places we have or haven't been to before. We look forward to family reunions and seeing friends after a year or more apart. We enjoy traveling by road as well as by air. But amidst our travels, we have endured discomfort, extreme fatigue, and frustration. We have missed flights, been fined for over-speeding, had immigration officials stamp our documents erroneously, among other experiences, and along the way we have been schooled. We have learned to plan ahead. Days and if necessary even weeks before we leave, we know what weather to expect where we are going, we have planned our accommodation, we have changed enough money to the required currency and when traveling for pleasure, we have selected the activities we want to engage in, with a few extra 'just in case' alternatives.
I have also included a special segment on planning for medical travel. My family went through this new experience when my Mum needed to travel to India for spinal surgery.

So why plan ahead? With children, it is simply to avoid stress; theirs and ours. I can bet you too want to be stress-free on your next vacation. Even if only so that that you don't have to shout: "Can you just smile for the camera?!!"
