Jahangir is a kid who knows how to make nitroglycerine. Lorelei's mother is a high-class hostess. A true grime tale set around Lyme Road School, where everyone except their friend Frank is totally weird.
Lyme Road Community School is no ordinary school, servicing a sprawling South London estate. Some of the students are in gangs, some the children of drug addicts, and some are drug dealers themselves. Others are refuges from war-torn countries, and a few were even soldiers. Jahangir's brother was a Taliban suicide bomber.
Already a 'person of interest' to the police, Jahangir becomes the target of local Estate gangstas, but when Lorelei is kidnapped he and his new friend Frank vow to find her.
The problem is, Jahangir has triggered a riot.
---- Praise from Authonomites:
"... ridiculously dense with quality, cultural details. It seems like a ton of research and/or prior knowledge went into this. The authenticity is definitely there. The book has a great entourage cast with memorable and distinct characters. The gangs are written especially well. From their introduction, Valon and his thugs have compelling personas." Jake Vickers, H-17: The Morningstar Abduction
"By the first line I was gripped, the quality surpassing anything I would have expected to find by randomly clicking around the website." Simon Fay, Bulk
"A complex weaving of cultural issues and conflicts that are current and often misunderstood. The content ... will remain with you long after you turn the last pages." Sheena Macleod, Conspiracy's Children
------ Youwriteon.com "Best Seller" May 2015
Acclaim from Youwriteon authors:
"Excellent all the way. I was totally engaged with the story." JackMac
"I was completely enthralled by this, and sorry it had to end so soon!" Suzi MacDonald
