Shadow

Shadow had lived in the darkness since his life had been ripped to shreds. He'd been just a boy and too small to fight the evil that had come to take his mother away from him. His weakness had cost him everything. It had cost him the one person who had ever loved him, the only one who had ever brought warmth into his cold, dark soul. He lived for years without the slightest glint of light. There was nothing that moved him, nothing that called him to be a better man than the cold killer he was being conditioned to be.
Everything changed one horror filled night as he stood in the bitter cold warmed only by the heat from the blaze before him.
