A famous writer… a scheming woman out to get his money… an infuriated father-in-law clutching a contract with a name scribbled in blood. Someone will end up in a coffin before it’s over.

Bill Branch was not born with a silver spoon. He was a hack writer forced to work menial jobs just to eat and buy supplies. That is until he met Bianca Romano, the only child of wealthy, doting parents. Her father frowned upon the union and grudgingly gave his blessing after Bill signed a contract in blood, promising faithfulness and pledging to keep his fingers off the family wealth. In return, Mr. Romano called in a few favors, and Bill became a famous author with the potential to make his own money. Having realized his dream, Bill should have been grateful for his wife. But Bill was a weak man, with urges hidden from view. He was an easy target for the seductive Karina and her red heels.

But Bill’s an inept liar, and Bianca’s father soon discovers his deceit. Just as he was ready to kick Bill to the proverbial curb, tragedy strikes. Bianca and Bill’s only child and her parents are killed in a head-on collision leaving Bianca alone to deal with Bill. He disappears into the arms of Karina and plots to take as much of his dead in-law’s money as possible. But Bill has underestimated Bianca. Caught between her grief and rage over Bill, Bianca makes an unexpected move that ends up with a breathing person in a coffin.

Snarky characters… unexpected situations… fright… unexplained circumstances… all intertwined with the ageless dilemma of human moral frailty. If you like Twilight Zone type of scary story with snarky dialog, you will enjoy this book. Bill is a fun character born to hate.
