Unknown to Garrick, a renegade Koradictine mage who has her own ties to the planewalkers is making her last-gasp effort to remain in power--and this time Garrick himself is the target.

Garrick is marked for death by the Lords of Existence and retreats to a sanctuary deep inside the ruins of Arderveer. The Lectodinian order prepares to storm the plane.
