the corset has an inner and outer layer and stiffening between. It is not meant for tight lacing. It would be nice with a thin white lawn top underneath also if you have one. It is designed to have the structure of the fabric help with the support of the corset. It is easily adjustable to your measurements. The skirt and over skirt are easy as well. If you are not busty it can also be reversed front to back theoretically..... Just in time for a special date or event.
