One day at Stanwell beach, high-school student Elspeth Cameron, discovers a mysterious canister marked with a strangely familiar symbol. That night she realises the symbol matches a tattoo on the muscular shoulder of her favourite rock star – Gareth Jones, lead singer of The Outcast.

Elspeth tries to open the container, but it appears to be made from no known Earthly substance. So she wears the symbol she found with it to an Outcast concert, hoping to attract Gareth’s attention. Not only does she meet him, he also has the most amazing story to tell.

Not only is Gareth Jones a famous rock star, but an exiled rebel from the lost continent of Atlantis. Gareth and the other members of The Outcast were forced to flee fifteen years earlier, driven out by a malevolent dictator named Eris. The canister Elspeth found contains a desperate cry for plea for their return.

Atlantis still lies beneath the waves, protected by a powerful force-field. The evil leader Eris has crushed nearly all resistance to his rule, and developed a diabolical plan for revenge against the Surface. Elspeth, Gareth and the other Outcast band members seem to be the Lost Continent’s only hope.

Now Elspeth and The Outcast must make it to Atlantis in a reconditioned scout-sub, contact the last of the Lost Continent’s rebel force, and try to defeat a dangerous megalomaniac. He is even rumoured to be immortal. How can one teenager and three jaded musicians hope to defeat him?
