Early growing up years in cotton town Heywood, Lancashire in the fifties and then a move to Blackpool. Having the best ever job in my life as a teenager driving a Land Rover on the Central Beach sands in summer, towing trailers for Naventi's Ice Cream. Growing up fast in the busiest holiday resort in the UK in the swinging sixties and then riding a Police motorcycle a few years later on the same Promenade. Stories of being backstage with the Beatles at the Winter Gardens, then working with Barry Sheene at Suzuki and even meeting the reclusive Howard Hughes in a London hotel. Did some aimless wandering before walking across England and finding the love of my life. I have tried for an equal balance of pathos and humour to reflect on what life was meant to be."
