Next in “The Venus Particle,” A mysterious illness strikes the Philotes during a Recreation assignment, causing the victims to experience irresistible sexual desire. Doctor Vrelin fights to find the cure; does N’Nessk’s dark secret hold the answer, and can it be found in time? Finally in “Shrapnel,” Commander Highground and Lieutenant Hrrok are stuck on a planet full of alien ruins, and Hrrok’s lust is raging. Can he and Highground overcome their problems, both internal and external, long enough to escape? Can the Philotes, trapped by enemy ships, give them the help that they need in time?
