“Someone is going to see us! I swear Mark, if we are spotted I’--” Mark pressed his palm against Melanie’s lips and shushed her, his eyes sparkling mischievously as he suppressed a laugh of his own. Mark pointed to his right and Melanie looked in that direction, her blue eyes widening as she saw another young couple making their way through the quiet park. They remained on the graveled path, their laughter drifting sweetly on the cool spring breeze. Melanie’s heart thumped nervously in her chest as she watched them leisurely walk by, and to her relief they continued on towards the brightly lit restaurants across the street.

Mark breathed his own sigh of relief as he watched them walk away, his lips breaking into a smile as he took his palm away from Melanie’s mouth. Her brows drew downward into a frown and she asked him, “Are you sure this is a good idea? I mean, I know I had teased you before about having sex in a public place, but now I’m not so sure i--” Mark silenced Melanie once again, his arms wrapping around her waist as he drew her in close for a kiss. He pressed his tongue between her lips, his breath hot against her as he ran his hands up the back of her polka dot blouse.
