This manual intends to provide a realistic guide for parents of the 21st Century, we don’t want to simply give tips to educate your children in the proper way, dedicating a full manual on that would be arrogance. Instead, we’ve focused your concerns by creating a section to explain the evolution of the concept of Family, so that you can understand where your way of thinking comes from and to understand that your education is shaped by centuries of societies. Grasping that notion will be the first step to self-evaluating your parenting and getting in touch with your practices.

We intend to make a manual that doesn’t rely on preconceptions, but on solid facts and objective points regarding child education. We analyze what has been done in human societies since the beginnings and give an explanation of the evolution of societies according to points such as the economy, religion, politics, and laws. We seek to tackle the problems that parenting might face in the 21st century so that you’ll be able to cope with them.

We defend equality in families, in that sense, we’ll give a vision for the role of a Mother and a Father in the family. Because, while standing for equality, we also know that men and women are psychologically different and the type of parenting they can provide to their children is different but complementary. We finish the manual with practical suggestions related to parenting. However, we must reinforce, parenting begins with the parent, so, the better you can grasp the fundamentals of education, the better you’ll be providing your children with the right tools.

In this manual we’ll begin to give a review on the evolution of the concept of family throughout the centuries, and how cultural, social and economic aspects have been shaping the concept of family, and the way it has conditioned the parenting of children. Next, we will provide a vision of the problems that a 21st-century family has with parenting, this will be a very real vision and one with we wish that each reader identifies himself with. Then we will specify the roles of a father and a mother in parenting while we defend equality in roles, both have specificities that must contribute to nurturing a child.
