Paradise

When Alison Janson finds herself at the end of yet another relationship, she realises it’s time for a radical change. Inspired by a couple of adventurers she meets at a party, she decides to strike out for a new life on a remote Greek Island. However, not having the courage to do it alone, she inveigles her best friend Cerys to accompany her. But Alison and Cerys aren't the only ones searching for a new life. A young African boy, in an effort to escape the civil war in Sudan, also takes to the high seas in hope of improving his prospects. What happens when the lives of these people unexpectedly collide causes ramifications far beyond anything they might have imagined. ‘Paradise’ is a powerful drama set in today’s unstable and constantly changing world. It brings the lives of people we only see from a distance into sharp relief, demanding we ask ourselves questions we might otherwise ignore.
