Over The Edge: The Snake River Miracle

Frantically, I pumped the brakes. The road was slick. The tires hit the heavy snow on the shoulder and pulled me toward the edge. In an instant I was airborne. The headlights shone into the black abyss, reflecting only the blizzard-driven snow. The thought flashed through my terrified mind; of all the other vehicles that ever went over the edge along this stretch, and crashed into the rocks, or into the Snake River below  . . .  none of the drivers ever survived. . . I knew I was about to become a statistic.

Read about Harold Christman Howell, Jr's harrowing true experience. This man is a living myth and legend. If a cat has 9 lives, Harold has 10 cat lives!

He is an amazing and beloved parent, father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather, and an example worthy of emulation.

Harold turned 90 on May 6, 2016! One of his gifts was a new pair of riding boots. That same day he went on a 30-mile motorcycle ride in the mountains between Boise and Mountain Home Idaho with 2 of his sons, 2 granddaughters and a son-in-law. . . and he was still hard to keep up with.
